After an extensive maintenance period at Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee, the bunker station De Tubantia is fully operational again. The work took six weeks to complete and included not only the regular ten-year maintenance but also major repairs following a collision with two inland vessels on October 26, 2023.

More than just repair work

In addition to the repair work on the bunker station, two mooring piles were replaced, and a new bridge was installed. At the same time, a separate HVO pipeline was added, enabling the bunker station to support a new, more sustainable fuel option.

Nobel extends its gratitude to Cunado B.V. for their professional assistance with towing and pushing operations, to De Klerk Werkendam for their support in placing the new piles, and to the GKB Group for constructing and installing the new bridge.
